This Privacy Policy describes how WorkstationOS, Inc. ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use WorkstationOS during our pilot program. We are committed to protecting the privacy and creative work of every writer and producer on our platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, email address, and login credentials necessary to create and manage your account.
Project Data: Content you upload or create, including screenplay text, drafts, revisions, budget files, production schedules, and associated metadata (file names, timestamps, collaborator lists, version history).
Usage Data: Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, interaction logs, and per-account session records (login/logout timestamps, session duration, and pages accessed), used for troubleshooting, security, and improving the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
Authenticate accounts and enable collaboration features;
Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
Monitor and improve platform performance and stability during the pilot;
Communicate important updates about the pilot program.

5. Data Sharing

We may share data with:

Service providers (e.g., cloud hosting infrastructure) bound by confidentiality obligations, solely to operate the Service;
Legal authorities, if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Security

We employ industry-standard security measures, including:

Access controls limiting internal access to user data on a need-to-know basis;
Regular security reviews appropriate to our pilot-stage infrastructure.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, particularly given the evolving nature of our pilot infrastructure.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete your personal information;
Export your User Content in a portable format;
Object to or restrict certain processing;
Withdraw consent (e.g., for any future AI training programs);
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and project data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, User Content is removed from active systems within 30 days, with residual copies purged from backups within a reasonable period thereafter.

9. International Users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

10. Session Activity Logging

In addition to the Usage Data described above, the Service records session-level activity tied to your user account. This includes login and logout timestamps, session duration, and the pages or features accessed within a session. This information is used for account management, security monitoring, abuse prevention, and providing support.

Session activity records may be reviewed by authorized platform administrators in the course of account management, investigating security incidents, or responding to support requests. Session activity data is retained for as long as your account remains active, and for up to twelve (12) months following account closure or your last session, after which it is permanently deleted from our systems.

This Privacy Policy is subject to change at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion, particularly as our pilot practices evolve. We will endeavor to notify pilot participants of material changes via email.
